Portrait Course
During the one day intensive course you will cover various aspects of portrait photography in the studio and on location which will enable you to gain experience and confidence with your equipment.
We will teach you how to set up different lighting rigs for different effects and then introduce various models throughout the day to build your portfolio of work.
We also cover post editing techniques to enhance your images and monitor calibration to ensure you are viewing them correctly on screen before you send your images to print.
We can supply cameras on the day if required subject to availability,

Course Layout (lunch and refreshments provided)
am: Indoor portraits
Introduction into colour management and monitor calibration.
Presenting your work to clients.
Setting up your own business
Introduction into studio equipment required for portrait photography.
Understanding lighting and measuring correct exposures using a flash meter.
Practical photo session: Using a model we will set up various studio lighting equipment and shoot different styles and effects including Hi and Low key.
Lunch
pm: Location portraits
Practical photo session: Working on location we will show you how to photograph portraits using available light and flash to create various effects like the photo of Tyrone below.
At the end of the day we will demonstrate how to enhance your photos using a combination of Photoshop and Lightroom; finally using the calibrated monitor from the morning session we will print out a finished photo.
